Suboxone Doctor

How Our Program Works for You

Sacramento Suboxone Doctor takes a recovery-based harm reduction approach to addiction treatment that always puts you first. We believe in meeting our patients where they are in their life and providing non-judgmental and successful treatment that can work within their lifestyle and better their future.

Primary Care

The team at Sacramento Suboxone Doctor treats each patient as our top priority, and as such, we’re more than just another result that pops up when you search “suboxone doctors near me.” Our background in primary care allows us a to address a wide range of issues beyond substance abuse treatment. Because Dr. Altschuler, our lead physician, is both a board-certified specialist in addiction treatment and a primary care physician, we address issues like infections near injection sites and nutrient deficiencies, aspects of addiction that can help your body and mind recover to full strength.

Customized Suboxone Treatment

Some drug treatment centers will treat you like everyone else: you come in, get a prescription, and leave. At Sacramento Suboxone Doctor, we believe a “one size fits all” approach doesn’t accurately meet the needs of our patients.
When you work with us, we’ll build a personalized opiate addiction treatment plan with your unique considerations and medical needs in mind. Our goal is to be the Suboxone clinic that gets to know our patients for two reasons: we want to earn your trust during treatment and best understand your needs while you’re in our care.

Respect and Confidentiality

Outpatient drug rehab can be a sensitive situation. Addiction is disease, but you still wouldn’t want it to be publicized, because you have a right to your private health information. With this in mind, Sacramento Suboxone Doctor follows the tenets of responsible drug and alcohol rehabilitation. We don’t judge you and we put your privacy before anything else.
After all, it doesn’t matter what has happened in your past. All that matters is that you found the strength to take this first step with us.

WHAT IS SUBOXONE®?

Suboxone® is an FDA approved prescription medication for opiate addiction treatment. Suboxone is a sublingual film that you can conveniently take under your tongue.

The two main ingredients in suboxone are buprenorphine and naloxone in a 4:1 ratio. Buprenorphine is a partial agonist, which means it competes to bind with the brain’s opioid receptor against full agonist opioids like morphine and heroin. As an antagonist, Naloxone blocks opioids from binding. Together these ingredients work to eliminate cravings and withdrawal symptoms, so that your recovery is as comfortable as possible. You will still be able to think clearly and live your life. Our suboxone doctors will evaluate your unique situation to determine the best course of treatment for you.
